3.3.1. Multi Panels
Multi Panels allow you to bundle multiple single ticket panels together into one unified interface. Instead of posting multiple separate panels in different channels, you can create a single multi-panel that gives users access to multiple ticket types from one location.
Premium Feature: Multi Panels are a Premium-only feature. You must have an active Premium subscription to create and use multi panels. If you don't have Premium, you'll see an error message with a link to upgrade at /pricing.
Understanding Multi Panels
Multi Panels combine multiple single ticket panels into one interface. When a user interacts with a multi-panel, they can choose which type of ticket they want to open. This is especially useful when you have many different ticket types but want to keep your server organized with fewer panel messages.
Example Use Case: If you have separate panels for "General Support", "Billing Questions", "Technical Issues", and "Bug Reports", you can create a multi-panel that includes all four. Users see one message with options to choose any of these ticket types, rather than having four separate panel messages.
Creating a Multi Panel
To create a multi panel:
Navigate to the Panels page in your dashboard
Click the "Create Multi Panel" button (only visible if you have Premium)
Configure the multi-panel settings (see sections below)
Click "Create Multi Panel" to save
Multi-Panel Properties
The Multi-Panel Properties section contains the core settings for your multi-panel:
Panel Channel
Select the Discord channel where you want the multi-panel to be posted. This should be a text channel where users can see and interact with the panel.
Note: This should NOT be the same as your transcript channel. The panel channel is where users will see and interact with the panel to open tickets.
Select Panels to Bundle
Choose which single ticket panels you want to include in this multi-panel. You must select at least 2 panels. Use the multi-select dropdown to choose from your existing single panels.
Tip: Only panels that you've already created will appear in this list. If you don't see the panels you want, create them first as single panels, then come back to create the multi-panel.
Use Dropdown Menu
Toggle this option to choose how users interact with the multi-panel:
Buttons (Default): When disabled, the multi-panel displays as individual buttons, one for each included panel. Buttons are arranged in rows of 5, with up to 25 buttons total. Each button shows the panel's title and emoji (if configured).
Dropdown Menu: When enabled, the multi-panel displays as a single dropdown menu (select menu) that users can click to see all available ticket types. This is more compact and useful when you have many panels to include.
Dropdown Placeholder
If you're using a dropdown menu, this is the placeholder text that appears in the dropdown before a user makes a selection. The default is "Select a ticket type...".
This field only appears when "Use dropdown menu" is enabled.
Panel Message
The Panel Message section allows you to customize the embed that appears above the buttons or dropdown menu. This is the main message users will see when they view the multi-panel in Discord.
Panel Title
The bold text at the top of the embed. This is the main heading for your multi-panel.
Note: The panel title has a maximum length of 255 characters.
Panel Content
The description text in the embed. This is where you can provide instructions or information about how to use the multi-panel and what types of tickets are available.
Note: The panel content has a maximum length of 1024 characters.
Panel Colour
Sets the color of the left side border of the embed. Click the color picker to choose a color. The default color is dark red (#560000).
Panel Author
You can optionally add an author section to the embed:
Author Name
The name displayed in the author field (e.g., "Support Team", "Help Desk")
Author URL
An optional URL that the author name links to when clicked
Author Icon
An optional icon URL that appears next to the author name. Must be a valid image URL ending in .png, .jpg, or .gif
Panel Images
You can add images to your multi-panel embed:
Large Image URL
A URL to an image that displays at the bottom of the embed (large image). This is useful for banners or promotional images.
Tip: The easiest way to get an image URL is to send the image as a message in a Discord channel, then right-click the message and choose "Copy Link". Paste that link into the input field.
Small Image URL (Thumbnail)
A URL to an image that displays in the top-right corner of the embed (thumbnail). This is typically a smaller icon or logo.
Tip: Same as above - send the image in Discord and copy the message link.
Panel Footer
You can optionally add a footer to the embed:
Footer Text
Text that appears at the bottom of the embed, typically used for copyright, branding, or additional information
Footer Icon
An optional icon URL that appears next to the footer text. Must be a valid image URL ending in .png, .jpg, or .gif
Posting to Discord
After creating a multi-panel, you need to post it to Discord for users to see and interact with it:
Go to the Panels page in your dashboard
Find your multi-panel in the "Multi Panels" section
Click the "Post to Discord" button
The multi-panel will be posted to the channel you specified in the Panel Channel setting
Note: The multi-panel must have a Panel Channel configured before you can post it to Discord. If you haven't set a channel yet, you can edit the multi-panel and set it, then post it.
Updating Multi Panels
If you've already posted a multi-panel to Discord and want to update it:
Edit the multi-panel settings as needed (you can change the message, add/remove panels, switch between buttons and dropdown, etc.)
Click "Save Changes" to save your edits
Click the "Update in Discord" button to push the changes to the Discord message
Important: The "Update in Discord" button only works if the multi-panel has already been posted to Discord. If the Discord message was deleted, you'll need to use "Post to Discord" again to create a new message.
How Users Interact with Multi Panels
When users see a multi-panel in Discord, they can interact with it in two ways depending on your configuration:
Button Mode
If you're using buttons (dropdown disabled), users will see individual buttons for each included panel. Each button shows:
- The panel's title (or name if no title is set)
- The panel's emoji (if configured)
Users simply click the button for the ticket type they want to open. The ticket creation process then proceeds as if they clicked a single panel button, including any modals that are configured for that panel.
Dropdown Mode
If you're using a dropdown menu, users will see a single select menu. When they click it, they'll see a list of all available ticket types with:
- The panel's title (or name if no title is set)
- The panel's description (if configured, truncated to 100 characters)
- The panel's emoji (if configured)
Users select the ticket type they want from the dropdown, and the ticket creation process proceeds as normal.
Best Practices
When to Use Multi Panels
- When you have multiple related ticket types that can be grouped together
- When you want to reduce clutter by having fewer panel messages in your server
- When you have many ticket types (5+) and want a more organized interface
- When you want to provide a centralized support entry point
Button vs Dropdown
- Use Buttons: When you have 2-10 panels, as buttons are more visible and easier to click
- Use Dropdown: When you have 10+ panels, as it keeps the interface compact and organized
- Note: Discord limits buttons to 25 per message (5 per row), so if you have more than 25 panels, you must use dropdown mode
Panel Message Content
- Clearly explain what the multi-panel is for and what types of tickets are available
- Use the panel content to provide instructions on how to use the multi-panel
- Consider including information about response times or support hours
- Make sure the panel title is descriptive and helps users understand the purpose
Note: Each panel included in a multi-panel retains its own individual settings (category, support teams, modals, welcome message, etc.). The multi-panel only affects how users initially select which ticket type to open. Once a ticket is created, it behaves exactly like a ticket created from a single panel.
